Top prize for Capital Chemist Kingston

Another amazing achievement for the Capital Chemist group, with Capital Chemist Kingston (ACT) winning the 2020 Australian Small Business Champion Awards Pharmacy Category at a glittering Presentation Event held at Sydney’s ICC on Saturday night.

The presentation dinner had been delayed during 2020 due to COVID restrictions and the celebrations last Saturday reflected the enthusiasm of the crowd for gathering together to recognise the achievements of small businesses from around Australia.

Managing partner, Sandra Ferrington was grateful and humbled to receive this award on behalf of her team. “It’s very rewarding to receive acknowledgement of the work that goes into maintaining small businesses such as community pharmacies.”

The pharmacy at Kingston has grown significantly in the past two years following its relocation to new premises in Green Square. It now provides state-of-the-art dispensary technology with three consult rooms allowing easy access to knowledgeable pharmacists who are available for professional consultation and health services.

We have created a Health Hub, with health initiatives in many areas, including sleep apnoea, COPD and lung function checks, audiometry and pre-employment medical checks in partnership with Workforce Health Assessors.

2020 was a challenging year for many small businesses including community pharmacy as we had to adapt to ensure the safety of our staff and customers whilst meeting their healthcare needs.
