PA2024: Only 100 days to go!

Pharmacy assistants at a conference

With only 100 days before the Pharmacy Assistant National Conference (PA2024) kicks off, Guild Events Committee Member and Community Pharmacy Owner, Lucy Walker has reminded all potential attendees that registrations are on sale and early bird pricing is still available.

Ms Walker said that the conference, which is being held 5-7 September in Sydney, is one event pharmacy assistants will not want to miss.

“PA2024 will be delivering high-value education for pharmacy assistants. Any pharmacy wanting to invest in their team members should consider registering them for the event.”

“We try to send two or three of our team members each year,” said Ms Walker, “I know those who have attended the conference in the past have returned feeling motivated and inspired, which is a great benefit to my pharmacy.”

The PA Conference is an annual event hosted by The Pharmacy Guild of Australia that takes place over two and a half days. Some key attractions of the conference include a three-hour Refresher Training Workshop and product update, motivational and management-focused sessions, plus a 70-stand trade exhibition and two exciting social events.

Ms Walker also said another major draw in attending the event was the announcement of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year (PATY) Award National Winner.

“Nominations for the PATY Award have only just closed recently; I know there’s a great deal of excitement about who will win this year,” Ms Walker said.

“Getting the opportunity to hear the inspiring stories from all of the award participants is one of my highlights of the PA conference each year.”

Early bird registration for the PA2024 is still open and closes on 30 June.

A complete program will be available in late May. For further details and to register your team members, visit https://pharmacy-connect.com.au/pharmacy-assistant.
