Launch of PCP Education Toolkit striving to reduce burden of secondary osteoporotic fractures

The APFFA Primary Care Physician (PCP) Education Toolkit is a comprehensive, educational asset designed to arm PCPs with practical resources to aid the identification, assessment and ongoing management of those at risk of fractures, to improve the safety and quality of patient care.

The Education Toolkit contains a host of materials to enable the planning and execution of two workshops that arm PCPs with the necessary tools to fulfill their critical role in reducing the burden of osteoporotic fractures.

The Education Toolkit comprises:

• Facilitator guide – an overview of the education
program and a step-by-step guide for running the
workshop;

• Workshop PowerPoint – Presentation slides to
educate participants on the burden and lifechanging consequences of fractures in older adults;

• Invitation templates for participants to attend the
workshops; and

• Workshop RSVP and registration templates,
evaluation surveys and certificates of completion.
