Goondiwindi Pharmacy Assistant to represent Queensland in national award

Pharmacy Assistant, Maddison Waide, from Lucy Walker Pharmacy, has been chosen to represent Queensland at the National Finals of the 2024 Pharmacy Guild of Australia/Maxigesic Pharmacy Assistant of the Year Award (PATY).

Maddison was selected from three State Finalists at the Queensland workshop on Tuesday 25 June 2024, where participants demonstrated their pharmacy knowledge and showcased their skills in customer service and leadership.

Now in its 18th year, PATY is the premier award for pharmacy assistants in Australia.

The Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s Queensland Branch Director, Matthew Battams, congratulated Maddison for her valuable contribution to community pharmacy in Australia.

“PATY was established to recognise Pharmacy Assistants who go above and beyond in assisting patients and are proactive in their careers,” said Mr. Battams.

“Maddison has shown exceptional dedication to her role and to the pharmacy industry, which perfectly embodies the spirit of this award.”
