Ego Pharmaceuticals WINS Victorian Exporter of the Year
On Thursday 6th October, Alan Oppenheim (Ego Pharmaceuticals, Managing Director) was presented the Victorian Exporter of the Year award by her Excellency, The Honourable Linda Dessau AM, Governor of Victoria.
Held at Government House, the awards ceremony acknowledged the hard work and efforts of the state’s lead exporters across twelve categories, in this year’s 37th Governor of Victoria Export Awards.
Entrants were made up of more than 50 of the state’s exporters from a range of sectors including agriculture, manufacturing, education, digital technology and health.
Ego Pharmaceuticals exports to 27 countries across the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Europe. In 2015–16, Ego increased export sales by 31 per cent on the previous year, entered South Korea and the Maldives, and launched online stores on Tmall (the largest e-commerce platform in China) and JD.com (the second largest), providing the company with direct distribution into China.
Along with winners from the twelve categories, Ego Pharmaceuticals will now be entered into the 54th Australian Export Awards to be announced on 24th November.
Exporters direct value to Victoria’s economy was $39.4 billion in 2014-15.
