Chemists’ Own Ibuprofen Liquid Capsules

Chemists’ Own has launched Ibuprofen Liquid Capsules, an analgesic product that provides temporary relief of pain and discomfort associated with:

headache • migraine headache • tension headache • back ache • muscular aches and pains • sinus pain • toothache • dental procedures
tennis elbow • period pain • arthritis • rheumatic pain • sore throat • aches and pains associated with cold and flu

RRPs: 20s $3.99, 40s $7.99 and 90s $11.99.

Ingredients: Ibuprofen 200mg
Format: Liquid capsule
Pack size: 20, 40 and 90 liquid capsules

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and over: 1 or 2 capsules initially taken with water, then 1 or 2 capsules every 4 to 6 hours as necessary. Maximum of 6 capsules in 24 hours.
Children 7 to 12 years: 1 capsule every 6 to 8 hours as necessary. Maximum of 4 capsules in 24 hours. Do not give to children under 7 years of age.

If symptoms persist for more than three days consult your doctor. Keep out of reach of children. Always read the label. Use only as directed. If symptoms persist speak to your healthcare professional.

Chemists’ Own ProCalm Tablets 5mg 10 is a new product to provide effective treatment of nausea associated with migraines.

Active ingredients: Prochlorperazine Maleate 5mg
Format: Tablets
Pack size: 10 tablets
Shelf life: 3 years

Dosage

Adults 18 years of age and older: Swallow one to two tablets with water two to three times per day or as advised by your pharmacist of doctor. May be taken with or without food. Recommended for adults from 18 years of age and older.

Contraindications: Circulatory collapse, central nervous system depression (coma or drug intoxication), previous history of a hypersensitivity reaction (e.g. jaundice or blood dyscrasia) to phenothiazines especially to prochlorperazine, bone marrow depression.

Precautions: Should be avoided in patients with renal dysfunction, Parkinson’s disease, hypothyroidism, phaeochromocytoma, myasthenia gravis and prostate hypertrophy.
