Blooms the chemist announces appointment of new COO
Blooms The Chemist has announced Pamela Bishop has recently been promoted into the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Previously Chief Marketing Officer, Pamela as COO will oversee end-to-end operations of Blooms The Chemist, with Merchandise, Retail Operations, Pharmacy Operations, and People and Culture all reporting directly to her new role.
Pamela will report directly to Blooms The Chemist’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Emmanuel Vavoulas.
With more than 16 years’ experience at Blooms The Chemist, she is excited about the new role and the opportunities it will provide.
“I’ve been part of the pharmacy industry for more than 20 years in both Ireland and Australia, of which 16 years has been with Blooms The Chemist,” said Bishop.
“After starting out in stores, I’ve been fortunate to have worked in various departments across the business. I’m excited about this next step in my career with Blooms The Chemist and bringing my extensive knowledge of the brand into this new and exciting COO role.
“Together with my team, we will drive profitability, execute the company strategy, develop more purpose-led business activities, and prioritise initiatives that will create the greatest customer impact,” she continues.
