The King Review – The Industry Responds

While the much anticipated Interim Report has now been released, the final report for the Review of Pharmacy Remuneration and Regulation is expected to be released around the time of Pharmacy Connect 2017. The Guild invites you to attend this important session where we will respond to the options presented in the Interim Report.

Although some options presented seem supportive of community pharmacy, it is vital that we examine all recommendations to ensure any unintended consequences are avoided. Key concerns include:

• Remuneration per prescription for pharmacy, wholesaler and manufacturer
• The delivery of professional services
• What can be sold in a pharmacy and where
• Where pharmacies can be located

The Guild remains vigilant and committed to combatting this Review, which has already experienced reform fatigue from across the sector.
