GuildLink Announce 2018 GuildCare Pharmacy of the Year Judging Criteria

After the success of our 2017 winners and runner up GuildLink are excited to announce the criteria for the 2018 GuildCare Pharmacy of the Year awards. Next year we plan to go bigger and better, celebrating the truly valuable contribution GuildCare partner pharmacies make to the health of their local communities.

All current and future GuildCare users are eligible to win and will automatically enter the running to be selected as a finalist. GuildLink encourage all of our GuildCare partner pharmacies take this year to realise the potential of a Professional Services recording platform in their pharmacy. As the 2018, Australian Pharmacy Professional (APP) conference is in early May next year the 2018 GuildCare Pharmacy of the Year awards will be judged on usage between 1 May 2017 and 30 April 2018.

Judging will be based on both the breadth and volume of Professional Services conducted. So, the more services you conduct the more points you will gain. Each Professional Service within the GuildCare platform has been given a value from 0.5 – 2 points. Every GuildCare NG supported Professional Service conducted in-pharmacy will earn the Pharmacy between 0.5 – 2 points. Combining at the end of the judging period to give the GuildCare subscribing Pharmacy an overall tally.

For example:
If vaccination is worth 1 point and a pharmacy conducts 10 vaccinations between 1 May 2017 and 30 April 2018 they will receive 10 points towards their overall yearly tally.

Finalists for GuildCare Pharmacy of the Year will be announced in early February 2018. In order to recognise unique pharmacy circumstances of each Australian state/territory and the efforts of our partner pharmacies in these regions, GuildLink will announce one finalist from each Australian state/territory.

To encourage yearlong Professional Services activity only the announced 2018 finalists will be eligible to win the overall award of ‘GuildCare Pharmacy of the Year’ in May 2018. However, all GuildCare users will be eligible to be considered for the category prizes of ‘2018 GuildCare Rural Pharmacy Champion’ and ‘2018 GuildCare Most Improved Professional Services Provider’.

Winners will be announced on the opening night of the 2018 APP conference – Thursday, 3 May 2018.
