While we love renting a baller holiday house and camping on remote beaches, sometimes we just want to bliss out at a seriously luxurious hotel. The kind that is worthy of filling your Insta feed thanks to its incredible interiors, plus has a banging restaurant and a pool you want to waste hours lounging by. Oh and don’t forget they must come with slippers and a robe, because were you really even on holidays if you didn’t make that your uniform?

The Calile | Brisbane

When this beauty opened late last year, every influencer worth their salt posted snaps at the hotel’s stunning pool. We’re pleased to say The Calile is absolutely worth the hype, and then some. If you’ve been longing for a Euro getaway, then book a weekend here stat. From the uber-friendly staff, to the rooms styled in marble and shades of mint and pale pink, this hotel is seriously dreamy. But the best part? The vibing pool is complete with sun lounges, private cabanas and a bar slinging tasty tipples and eats from Greek restaurant Helenika. Once you’re done sunning yourself, you can shop up a storm at The Calile’s chic boutiques, grab a drink from the Lobby Bar and settle in for a feast at their epic restaurant, SK Steak & Oyster.

The Fantauzzo | Brisbane

Nestled under Brisbane’s Story Bridge and carved into a cliff, The Fantauzzo will absolutely blow up your ‘gram. Boasting stunning architecture, this six storey hotel offers up the best of city life as well as providing a relaxing escape from it all—so you’ve got all bases covered no matter what kind of holiday you’re after. While the infinity pool that juts out underneath the bridge is a visual feast, our favourite part about The Fantauzzo is its amazing art collection. From the lobby to your uniquely designed suite, the walls are all adorned with original artwork. In fact, it’s so impressive they even host free daily art tours.

The Darling | Gold Coast

If you’re after pure glamour then look no further than The Darling hotel. Located in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast, these swanky digs offer 56 luxury suites, kitted out with bespoke fittings and the finest amenities and finishes. With sweeping views of the GC hinterland and beaches, the jewel in The Darling’s crown has to be their award-winning restaurant Nineteen. Tuck into grilled Patagonian toothfish, Bay bug raviolo, wagyu and fresh oysters and sip champagne as you live your best life. Make sure you leave some time to laze by the rooftop pool—it’s pure baller status.

Halcyon House | Cabarita

With an interior that you want you’ll want to replicate in your own home, luxury meets cosy at this gorgeous beachside hotel. Nestled on Cabarita Beach (recently voted one of the best in Australia), Halcyon House is all about leaving your worries behind and zenning out. With just 21 rooms and suites (each designed by interior designer Anna Spiro), you’ll feel a world away from everyday life. Included in your stay, regardless of which room you choose, you’ll score daily à la carte breakfast, a nightly four-course Paper Daisy dinner, a 5pm aperitif in Paper Daisy each evening, a complimentary mini-bar (refreshed daily), access to the Halcyon Spa steam room and use of the Halcyon House bicycles and McTavish Surfboards. Yep, this place goes all out to ensure you have the most five-star experience possible.

QT | Sydney

It’s no secret that the QT’s suite of hotels are all pretty extra but one of our absolute faves has to be their Sydney digs. Located in the heart of the city, you can’t miss this hotel’s opulent entrance thanks to the stylishly-clad staff that are waiting to greet you. Just look for the fire-engine red bobs. Despite its busy location, inside you’ll find a tranquil escape full of moody lighting and heritage touches—it’s where art deco meets New York. There’s a rustic Italian eatery that will take you straight to Rome, a glamorous bar by the name of Gilt Lounge, plus in-house spa treatments and one of the softest beds you’ll have the pleasure of passing out on. Oh, and did we mention you can also bring your dog with you? Heaven!

Sofitel Darling Harbour | Sydney

If you’re after high roller status, check yourself into the Sofitel Darling Harbour—the area’s tallest building at 35 floors high. From the grandeur of the lobby alone you know you’re in for a treat. While all the rooms are great, you’re going to want to push the boat out and opt for a corner suite with floor to ceiling windows that will make soaking in that giant free-standing tub all the sweeter. With French touches throughout, be sure to spend some time chilling by the outdoor infinity pool with panoramic views of Darling Harbour and the city skyline and hitting the state-of-the-art gym (if you’re into exercising on your holiday), then cap the whole blissful experience off in the award-winning Champagne Bar.

The Savoy Hotel On Little Collins | Melbourne

Oh, how we miss our weekenders to Melbourne! When we are eventually allowed back in this bustling city, you’ll want to make a beeline for The Savoy Hotel on Little Collins. Nestled in the CBD, this historic gem was built back in 1866 but has been lovingly restored, blending contemporary design with its Art Deco origins. Think warm timbers, mirror and brass elements complemented by luxurious soft furnishings. Zen out in the day spa before dolling yourself up for a cocktail at Alexander Bar. For dinner, the endless options of Melbourne’s incredible foodie scene are literally on your doorstep.

Jackalope | Mornington Peninsula

While this beauty is currently closed due to COVID, it’s absolutely one for the bucket list when Victoria opens its doors again. Overlooking a picturesque vineyard that will transport you straight to Tuscany, it’s not hard to understand why Jackalope has bagged a slew of awards. With a sleek palette of charcoal, dark timber and ornate lighting, this hotel is packed with a seriously impressive art collection. Our fave? A seven-metre tall Jackalope sculpture at the entrance. During the day, soak up the sunshine by the pool, indulge in a decadent dinner at their fine dining restaurant Doot Doot Doot and retire to your room for a movie marathon complete with complimentary popcorn delivered to your door.

COMO The Treasury | Perth

This beautiful hotel, located within the revitalised 140-year-old State Buildings will make you never want to return home. Not only does COMO The Treasury feature a spa, gym, pool, library and the most elegant rooms you’ll ever lay eyes on; it’s also home to some amazing dining options. Rooftop restaurant Wildflower serves up contemporary cuisine championing local produce; Post offers elegant dining with modern Italian cuisine; Petition is a more relaxed dining offering delicious modern Australian eats, while the Wine Merchant is the perfect spot to kick back with a wine in the Postal Hall. So many activities, and we haven’t even mentioned Pooles Temple, the underground jazz bar. We could go on, but honestly, just book yourself a stay.

Saffire Freycinet | Coles Bay, Tasmania

Prepare to spend a lot of time picking your jaw up off the floor when staying at these incredible digs. Previously voted the World’s Best Boutique Hotel and World’s Best Luxury Hotel, this uniquely shaped building is all about celebrating it’s stunning, natural surroundings with floor to ceiling windows. Featuring 20 private suites, a luxury day spa, and an unforgettable culinary offering, Saffire Freycinet, will create (free) personalised itineraries for its guests ensuring you’re exploring all the beauty this part of the world has to offer.
