Chemists’ Own has released Sleep Aid tablets, a medicine that provides temporary relief of sleeplessness.

Active ingredients: Doxylamine Succinate 25 mg
Format: Tablets
Dosage: Adults & children over 12 years: 1 or 2 tablets when necessary with a glass of water 20 minutes before bed.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to doxylamine, other antihistamines in the ethanolamine class, lactose or any other component.
Precautions: Avoid concurrent use with alcohol and medications which suppress the CNS. A risk/benefit approach should be adopted for patients with glaucoma.
Use with caution in patients with asthma, bladder neck obstruction, urinary retention, chronic bronchitis, stenosing peptic ulcer, pyloroduodenal obstruction, symptomatic prostatic hypertrophy and epilepsy.
